Sophie Delezio is an Australian woman who, as a child, survived two separate devastating car accidents. Her story gained widespread attention in Australia and beyond, becoming a symbol of resilience and hope.
In 2003, at the age of two, Sophie was severely injured when a car crashed into the childcare center she was attending. She suffered burns to 85% of her body, lost both feet, her right hand, and her right ear.
Tragically, in 2006, Sophie was involved in a second car accident when she was struck by a car while being pushed in her wheelchair. While she sustained further injuries, she survived this second incident.
Despite the immense challenges she has faced, Sophie has become known for her positive attitude, determination, and advocacy work, particularly for burn survivors and people with disabilities. She and her family have been actively involved in raising awareness and funds for various charitable organizations. She has served as an inspiration to many people around the world.
